Our Story

Our Doors will open at 4:00pm with Welcome Drinks.The Ceremony will start promptly at 4:30pm, so all guests should be seated prior.Any latecomers will be escorted to view our Ceremony from the Terrace as the Ceremony area will be roped off once the procession begins. Guests may consider arriving 15-20 minutes prior to Doors Opening to allow time for parking and/or Golf Cart Transportation (if necessary).

Meet Our 'I DO' Crew!

Maggie and Jawad met in September 2012 in Shanghai, where they embarked on their academic journey for their Master of International Business. They knew they were going to be good friends early on when they received the results from their 200+ question personality assessment and their result maps were nearly identical when overlain on each other’s results. Little did they know how far along their friendship would grow and strengthen over 12 years! What Jawad loves about Maggie and Jeff is their mutual care, concern, and companionship for each other and looks forward to them completing this milestone through their journey through life together.

Syed Jawad - Man of Honor

Jeff and Bryan have known each other for 25+ years. They met in high school and became fast friends. From there they have experienced many major life events together and watched each other grow into who they are today. Through the good and the bad that life has thrown at them both they have always been there for each other and will continue to do so in the future. Bryan is happy that Jeff found Maggie and he is finally settling down. They both deserve the happiness they bring each other.

Maggie and Szuwei met in middle school where they stuck together for an ungodly amount of time despite being in different grades. During joint P.E., the two of them would ‘run’ around the track in Almansor Park. Both said, “Nope,” to running 8-minute miles. (Note, however, that Maggie went on to do half-marathons and races like Tough Mudder) Twenty years later, despite often being separated by hundreds, if not thousands of miles, the two have remained the kind of friends you can share your worst hottakes with. It brings Szuwei great joy that Maggie has found in Jeff a partner she can share even hotter hottakes with. These two are gonna go the distance—just look at how many miles they drive for all their trips to LA!&nbsp;

Maggie and Jeff are both passionate, driven, and exceptional individuals. They compliment each other perfectly, making them such a fun couple to be around. I have always loved the experiences we have shared and the memories we have made when the three of us have gotten to spend time together. I am looking forward to making more at the wedding in Southern California!

Similar to the feeling when you run into a great sale on chihuahua cheese at Costco, unexpected but beautiful. Maggie and Angela met through a mutual friend. Due to their mutual love of dumplings, their friendship started to bloom after their first camping trip in Oregon. What Angela loves about Maggie and Jeff is how they show up for the ones they care about, no matter the distance! Whether it was a surprise baby shower in Portland or our son’s first birthday party in Chicago, Maggie and Jeff were there! Angela is honored to stand by Maggies side on her special day, holding her hair as needed and collecting all the red envelopes from Jeff!

I've known Jeff since the days that I used to live in Fremont CA. I had the opportunity to be Jeff's roommate when we decided to start our college life at DeVry University. Our friendship started when we realized that both drove Nissan 240SXs and as we got to know each other, we've discovered that we shared many things in common: great food, outdoors, and success. These memories have remained sentimental in my life because it was the first time we both moved away from our families, and although we live hundreds of miles apart, he always will remain like a brother to me. I am looking forward to finally meeting Maggie on her wedding day and thankful to be a part of their celebration.

We have reserved a courtesy room block at the Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel hotel in San Gabriel, CA for our out of town guests for the wedding weekend. Our Wedding will take place on Sunday, September 22, 2024.Our room block rates are applicable from Friday, September 20 to Monday, September 23, so please book as needed in accordance to your plans. The 626, or the San Gabriel Valley, is the area (BUBBLE, as Jeff calls it), where Maggie was born and raised. Even with all the exploration to different cities and countries, the 626 still holds the #1 position in Maggie's heart. It has good food, wide roads, free parking, and will always be 'HOME' to Maggie.Jeff loves this place too... he just hasn't admitted it yet. Yes, although our venue is outdoors, all areas are handicap accessible. Golf cart service is available for the lower portions of the property.Please notify us ahead of time if there's a need for accessibility, so that we can make the proper arrangements.

Parking is available and included for all our guests. Guests are also welcome to leave their vehicle overnight. If you choose to do so, please return no later than 11:00am the next morning to retrieve your vehicle. Please celebrate responsibly.

IS THERE PARKING AND CAN I LEAVE MY CAR OVERNIGHT?

Our doors will open at 4:00pm, with our Ceremony promptly starting at 4:30pm, and our reception to follow and be celebrated through the night. Please see the 'Schedule' tab for full details.

WHAT IS THE WEDDING DAY TIMELINE & ITINERARY?

Cocktail Attire - Elegance encouraged.Our venue is outdoors, please consider your footwear accordingly. We kindly request that guests refrain from wearing full white dresses or suits.

WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

We're crossing our fingers that Sunny Southern California shines through on our celebration.Both the ceremony and the reception will be hosted outdoors, so please plan your #OOTD accordingly. Consider bringing a light jacket as the temperature may drop at night.We recommend checking the weather before packing and dressing for the day, in case of any unexpected weather changes.

WHAT WILL THE WEATHER BE ON YOUR WEDDING DAY?

Due to the intimacy of our venue, we are unable to extend invites for plus ones, unless otherwise specified on your invitation.Our goal is to keep our very special day as intimate as possible, we are choosing to celebrate with only our closest family and friends.Should there be any questions or concerns regarding a guest or 'plus one,' please reach out to us directly.

CAN I BRING A 'PLUS ONE'?

Kindly note that our wedding will be an adult-only affair. We hope that with this notice, you will be able to make arrangements to attend our wedding, and enjoy the 21+ celebration.

CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN?

Of course! There will be an assortment of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to choose from, including Wine, Beer, and Signature Cocktails. tldr;TF? HAVE YOU MET US??

WILL ALCOHOL BE SERVED?

All use of drugs, including marijuana, are strictly prohibited at our venue. Our venue has a zero tolerance policy, and we are contractually obligated to follow this regulation. Please be respectful.

ARE DRUGS ALLOWED?

There will definitely be an amusing interpretation of it.

WILL THERE BE DANCING?

We will have a team of professional photographers and videographers to capture our ceremony, and would love for you to enjoy our celebration and capture how the ceremony feels. We ask you turn off your electronics during our ceremony to ensure you are in the moment and not in the way of our photographers. These photos will be posted online and may be available for download afterwards. After the ceremony is complete and the wedding party has exited, you may turn on your devices and take pictures of whatever you wish!

CAN I TAKE PICTURES?

Although COVID-19 restrictions have loosened over the last year, we want to ensure our guests feel comfortable celebrating with us.We've worked closely with our venue and catering team to create a COVID-safe plan for our wedding. We've specifically chosen to host our event in an open outdoor space, with sanitizing stations around the venue, and individually plated meals. Currently, masks are not required, but we completely respect your decision to wear one if you choose to do so! We kindly ask that if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, or have been exposed to COVID-19 or other viral illnesses within 1 week of our wedding, to please stay home and toast with us from afar. We will be sure to celebrate together at a later time.
